COLLEGE

Cerritos College is a remarkable place to study. The campus is undergoing a remarkable change, with the next major development being a new one-stop, student services building. Strong faculty, dedicated staff, and students brimming with hope, create a synergistic effect of energy.

In the Social Science departments, we have programs in anthropology, economics, geography, history, philosophy, political science, psychology, and sociology.

The counseling department offers individualized services and classwork related to student success.

The division also oversees Student Accessibility Services, EOP/S, CARE, Guardian Scholars, and CalWORKs. EOP/S is a program that helps low income/educationally disadvantaged students successfully complete a post-secondary education. The C.A.R.E. Program is designed to assist the single parent receiving public assistance (TANF/CalWORKs). The CalWORKs program also provides specialized support services for students/participants who are pregnant or responsible for a child under 19 years of age, have low or very low income, and under-/unemployed.

The services provided for Online Instruction are also well supported on their webpage.
